Game Studio 2

I am a student at a school called Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. The school has a video game program, and in the game design track you can choose between 4 disciplines. The disciplines are as follows: design, programming, art, and producing. I am a producing student. We have one class called Game Studio. This iteration of the class that I am talking about is Game Studio 2. Game Studio is a class where we focus on being what are major is. For instance if your an artist you work solely on the art for the game you are working on with your group. This group was a size of 8 people.

I would like to take a moment now and talk about our game Scrapped. The team for this project/vertical slice was, (me) Chad Small - Producer, Will Nunes - Artist, Ian Pearson - Programmer/Lead Designer, James Micheal - Level Designer, Keenan McCarthey - GamePlay Designer, Thomas Coyle - QA Manager, and Terrance Robberson - UI Designer. The game is a 2D style game in a 3D enviroment. It is a simple puzzle game with challenges being avoiding enemies, and saw blades. Other challenges are moving platforms, both vertical and horizontal, the last major obstacle's are smashers and a rotating storage crate system.

During my time at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy, we have worked and made many games. This game the school felt was of a high enough quality to be a showcase for the entire schools work. That accomplishment was a very terrific moment. I cant wait to keep making the next great game.
